Stunning location. Beds are ROCK hard though and I felt the staff were not really accommodating for very simple things. For example, I requested to be moved to a smaller side table, but the staff was not flexible and insisted my seat is in the middle of the dining hall. I was traveling alone and the side table I asked for no one was ever seated there in the end. Basic information like sharing that there is no detergent in the laundry room before I went for the long walk there could have saved me a trip all the way back to the gift shop to buy detergent. Small things like that just made me feel the staff were a bit sleepy and perhaps not happy with their job. I enjoyed walking around their grounds though and was the perfect location for hiking Amagi. The weather was perfect and I would stay again with my family. Perhaps better accommodated for families rather than solo travelers.

Very nice hotel up on the mountain top. There is nothing within 15km of the hotel so make sure you stock up before arrival.

Old fashion hotel with stunning views of Mt Fuji

Posted 12 Jul 2018
Pros: The location and views
Cons: Smaller menus or a la carte options at the restaurants.
Location: Hiking trails, Onsen
The hotel is a bit old style but our room was super spacious with stunning views if you can get the Mt Fuji side. We enjoyed the quiet location and hiking trails nearby, and looking at Mt Fuji. The onsen has nothing exceptional but nice with view from the 8th floor. The restaurants had different options, we chose the buffet which was really great quality. The breakfast included with the room price was also fantastic.

Excellent hotel on hill top

Posted 1 Mar 2017
Pros: Everything was great. Nice lobby. Professional staff with good English skill. Beautiful room with great view. Onsen was nice too.
Cons: Some of the dinner options require 1 to more days reservation in advance. Would be great if these information can be made available online in English.
Location: It is located on top of a hill overlooking the Ito city. About 20 minutes drive down to the city. The nearby Skyline scenic drive way was nice too.
Very nice experience. Took a bit of driving up the hill to arrive at this hotel but it was well worth the effort. Everything was great. One will not be disappointed by staying at this hotel.

Average Hotel

Beautiful place, however it's faraway from everything, way off the grid! Very small signs for the hotel and Japanese only. Be prepared to pay an additional ¥300 bath tax, that's not included. Wi-Fi and phone reception is really bad or not available at all. Okay at best!

Hotel in a highland

Difficult to communicate with staff due to language barrier. The location is a bit remote. Toiletries provided in the hot spring baths are not adequate.

途中から雪で登れなくなったので、ホテルに連絡したら、スタッフが迎えに来てくれて、とても助かりました。ありがとうございました。 お風呂からの富士山もとてもきれいに見えました。
