This is a cheap hotel, but it was clean. The included breakfast was much better than we expected. It was noisy at night, but the Hotel is located in the city center, very close to many forms of public transportation.

Location is amazing, check-in was smooth, breakfast is ok, but bed arrangments were bad and not given as shown in the pictures while booking

The hotel is a good place to stay if you are not planning for a longer stay in Izmir. Friendly and good staff. Although the room was small, they are clean. We stayed there for one night and then left for Ephesus the next day. The staff was kind enough to have our luggage kept at hotel which we collected after our trip.

Pros: Breakfast and location were good
Cons: Until they find a solution to the noise problem... they will always have a major problem!
Location: Location is only moments from Basmane metro which gets you to all other parts of the city. It is a 10-15 minute walk down to the sea front .
Guzel Izmir Otel.... it’s hard to say anything positive about this place really. The only two things of note were the kind and helpful daytime receptionist, Orhan, and the pleasant breakfasts we had there. The place is very clean, but showing it’s age very much. Rooms are very small. But the WORST THING ....the unbearable noise coming from the bar located virtually right under the hotel. Every night from around 9pm until 2-3 am...this horrendous moaninig style of singing, at very loud levels penetrating the whole hotel! It is insufferable. We tried earplugs...no success. Just as you think it may have finished... it starts again!! We stuck our 4 nights out...but we should have changed hotels....there are plenty nearby and for only a little more money. I, in all fairness, can not recommend this Otel...I suggest you look at others in this area.
