Great hotel and location with being just a short walk from all the Istanbul essential places to visit - just note that if you pick this place it's a steep walk uphill no matter where you're going. If you don't mind that then it's fine. There are also steps up to the entrace to reception which can be slippery in the rain.
We didn't have too many issues - breakfast was great, a little repetitive, but it's what can be expected really. It was really difficult to control air conditioning and we were either boiling or freezing, it also seemed the staff couldn't use it either! We did have to sleep with the window open on one of the nights as it was so hot, it was very noisy outside as it came closer to morning. Also, all the car/vehicle fumes came into the room too. Same issues with the TV which was stuck on hotel mode!
Staff were generally helpful and friendly and rooms were cleaned everyday to a good standard. We had double rooms which were very small, with very little cupboard space - with 2 of us sharing oneof the rooms, it was a struggle and we have to shuffle around each other a fair bit.
If you are booking a place just to rest your head and spend all day exploring or elsewhere, it's perfect - clean, well equipped etc etc, I would've picked a bigger room had known it was so small. The spa was also great - as we were a small group of women, they were very mindful of making sure all staff were women too including recemption which was nice of them.
