We stayed in a classic room which was nicely decorated, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The onsite restaurant, The Sprigg, was across the parking lot and we checked in and out there with the staff since there was no staff member at the Manse. We were impressed that the staff seemed to all be able to help guests both at The Sprigg and the Manse. It made the experience seem very personal and inviting. The Health Suite was impressive, but we did not use the facilities due to our schedule. I would definitely plan for this next time. We stayed 2 nights and thus had 2 breakfasts at The Sprigg included with our stay which were absolute culinary delights!

Beautifully restored. Room were gorgeous. Staff were impeccable. Food was absolutely amazing, we had a range from seafood to steak and all 5 stars. Steam room and sauna available for all guests in Manse, as is delicious free breakfast. Cannot recommend this stay highly enough!!!

It has some farm animals and requires quiet from their guests so if you are looking for that type of visit you will probably enjoy this place. Our needs were a bit more than what we were able to get. I should say we also only stayed one night. The parts of our stay that made it less enjoyable was first the temp of our room when we arrived it was very very hot even the owner said it was and opened all of the windows although that was approx 2 inches due to safety latches. We sweated all night and had a light that the bed faced that did not turn off so sleeping was difficult to none. The space did not have a lift just carpeted stairs and so it made luggage movement difficult. There were no bath essentials or hairdryer. The food in the morning for the breakfst we were able to attend was delicious and a nice variety of their premise made and grown items were wonderful. It definitely has appeal with the wet and also dry saunas so if you are looking for a minimalistic stay they are for you. We did get in late due to the length of travel we had to get to in that day to the venue, so all food service was over and there are no shops or other places to find any food, not even a sandwich. The owner gave us two plums and some tea biscuits but we were starving at the time we finally got there so it was a disappointing find.

When we arrived, a note said to meet staff at their new restaurant (The Sprig) in the converted church. The staff were friendly and helpful, got us settled in quickly and made space for us in their very popular and underrated restaurant. The staff was very helpful through the stay. Owner is wonderful and talked about history of the buildings. I will stay here again in the future.

The facility was great. Nice spa to relax in after a long day of hiking. The staff was personable and accommodating. The restaurant and bar were surprisingly good. Big city facility in a country setting. I would highly recommend
