Nice private hotel, a must for "old movie buffs" as there's some great memorabilia around the place, and in the room. Breakfast good and cooked to order. Parking good and friendly owners.

Just like Fawlty towers

Pros: Nothing
We booked to stay while doing charity bike ride. Hotel first agreed to give us breakfast at 7am - then later said it would not be possible until after 7.30 - the time we had to leave. They literally could not be bothered to get up 30 minutes earlier to serve their guest. We asked about a late checkout so we could shower after the 100K ride. we asked for 1 hour (from 11.30 to 12.30). They said no - would be too much trouble for them. Zero hospitality, charmless and no interest in service or future bookings - especially if it was a minor inconvenience. Its people like this that give the UK small hotel industry a bad name.

a beautiful house but a bit neglected

it needed a good hoover, and seemed a bit neglected. The house itself was beautiful.

Overall, this hotel is OK but not especially good value. The single bed wasn't very confortable.

Lovely b&b

I booked here for two nights as I couldn't get into the Novotel for the week. I had a lovely room. Very clean with everything you need. I moved to the Novotel and wished I stayed put. The Novotel was red hot with no way to control the heat and very noisy! The Bentley Tower may not suit all but a decent night sleep and a good breakfast (they even bought in some skimmed milk for me) is what you need when working away. The personal touches of a privately owned place also make a difference. I'll definitely book again.
