One of the staff, Dini, was very helpful and suggested lots of things for us whilst we were in Ipoh. We had one of the rooms near the lobby/entrance of the hostel, which was a bit inconvenient at night e.g. if we had to go to the bathroom... but other than that it was a great stay! Not a big problem.

Stayed in the double room and I have to say it was really gross, almost to the point we did not want to sleep in the bed. Random hairs all over the floor very tiny cramped room and extremely over priced for what you get. Probably the worst place we have stayed in Asia in over 5.5 months.
Location is very central though.

I love this hostel, i stayed in chained hotel located near train station before but it’s not good. This one is cheaper, get more facilities and comfortable stay. I’m a lady solo traveller, I’m really appreciate here after travel for 5cities in Malaysia

BEDBUG CENTRAL
Posted 22 Oct 2017 on HotelsI am just completely shocked that this place has such good reviews...It may be cause the standard of cheap Hostels in Malaysia is so bad?
Ok the common areas were cute and new and staff was friendly.
My first private room had bed bugs and all night there was a strange noise driving me nuts...that is after the loud nightclub closed at 3am. By 6am the strange noise got cancelled out by street noise..a loud humming from aircons...by 8 am you hear everybody sitting and having breakfast in front of your room.
Oh and there were Bedbugs !
I asked to change rooms and did get another one. As i waited for my new room to be cleaned, i noticed the staff member went inside with a big power steamer (uhh just look up what kills bed bugs...yes its hot steam..lol)
Bathrooms were not so clean and breakfast only cheap toast and jelly..
Worst thing was that we missed out on some major sights cause staff informed us that there is no transport to there..we later happened to go to the bus terminal and found several buses going directly to the sight whicb only tool a few minutes ! Had we known earlier we could have seen more.
All in all It is a very strange hostel and I would never go back....
