Individual/unique style.
A room with a balcony/sea view would definitely be worth paying extra for but we had a room with balcony overlooking the entrance which was also nice.
More information relating to local activities for families would have been helpful.

Great hotel, friendly staff & wonderful breakfast
Posted 6 Jun 2019 on HotelsLuca at the front desk was great and provided a simple check in experience as well as a safe spot for our bikes. The room was immaculate with all of the comforts of home. The bathroom was clean and sizeable. Breakfast the following morning was wonderful - out on the veranda, fresh baked goods, meats, cheeses and all the trimmings. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the marina area of town which makes for great walks anytime of day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Ariston and recommend it highly.

Great bang for your buck

Pros: Friendly staff, excellent breakfast
Location: Close to the beach, beautiful surrounding area and excellent choice of authentic restaurants.
Beautiful, boutique hotel. Fantastic service and communication from staff, perfect location. Highly recommended.

Awful!
Posted 30 May 2018 on HotelsExtremely dated hotel. Needs updating immediately. My room was on the bottom floor with no balcony and just felt claustrophobic. Security was a massive issue for me - you give the receptionist your key which hangs off a hook in which anyone can grab and get into your room without effort!

Dear Christian,
you had booked on your own the cheapest (and smallest) room available at the hotel. The room description provided by the website A-Hotels explains that the room has courtyard view, small double bed (140cm wide), no balcony but windows. There were rooms with balcony available, why did you choose one of those? You paid 69,00€ per night, per room, double occupancy, breakfast included at the end of May. During the period spent at the Hotel, you were extremely friendly, always smiling, no mention at all about being claustrophobic, no request to get another room, nothing said about leaving the room key at the reception. In more than 50 years no one has been robbed in his own room. In the Hotel there're more than 8 surveillance cameras and reception is open 24/7. You thanked us, saying that everything was ok. I really don't understand what happened then when you got home?!? Why did you say anything about all this things when you were at the Hotel? Next time if you have any problem, don't wait 3 days to be behind a screen, tell us straight, and we will try to fulfill your request.

Highly recommended for food, staff and location.
Posted 26 Jul 2017 on HotelsExcellent breakfast, especially the fried eggs. Good location but also quiet, very close to the beach too.
The staff were second to none, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and transport around it.
One of the very few places I would go back to happily.
Room was a fair size and very clean. It overlooked the car park, but this is really a very minor complaint, the town is a great place to be so we didn't spend much time looking out of the window anyway.
