The staff are polite when you check in, but rude when you are leaving. We were at the front desk at 10:05 (checkout is 10:00) and were berated for being late, and told they would now no longer honer the free transfer to the airport.
Also, the breakfast bar is weak. Hotel Arctic is much more affordable, has better views, and a much better breakfast bar. It's a bit farther away, but there are hourly shuttles to/from town.

Hi Ken, i am sorry that you were unsatisfied with your check out and our breakfast buffet. Upon your check-out the transfer was booked for 10.00 am, as you did not show up, the reception went to your room and informed you that the transfer was here, and check out was overdue, for which you informed you wished to leave later in the day. After waiting for 10 min. the transfer had to continue on their route.I am happy that we found a solution and arranged transfer for you when you came back to the hotel later in the day.I hope you enjoyed Ilulissat and Greenland and had safe travels home.Best RegardsHotel Icefiord.

Great location and view, excellent food, and friendly helpful staff that work as a team and want guests to have a positive experience. Also the hotel is allied with a tour company that enables easy access to great outings to see icebergs, whales, glaciers etc. Highly recommend !!

Fantastic hotel in Ilulissat

Amazing view.
Clock broken.
Staff were very busy.
Housekeeping missed a day of service.
Glad they picked up and dropped off at airport.
