The property was extremely tired and run down and did not reflect how it was advertised on the Expedia website. We paid extra for a spa bath which when we turned it on, filled the room with the smell of sewage- we obviously therefore did not use it! Our room smelled damp and there was evidence of mould on the ceiling in our room and in communual areas. The furniture was battered and broken and the shower rusty.

A lovely place to stay in Ilhabela
Posted 5 Jan 2015 on HotelsI traveled with a couple and their 2 young children. We found the hotel to be perfect for our needs. The location was ideal - a beautiful view and we never needed our car when we were there - great beaches are across the street and several good/very good restaurants and shopping are easily walk-able; the hotel's food was also very good; the pool is very nice with food and drink right there; the hotel helped us to find a great jeep tour to the beach on the other side of island that at a fair price (he turned one down that he thought was too expensive); the service at the hotel was friendly and attentive. My only complaint was that we could easily hear the people next door through the ducts but part of that issue was a very, very loud family whose teenage children and mother yelled everything but since it only really bothered me while sleeping and it was late on our last evening, I didn't say anything to the front desk - they may have been able to change the situation.
I would stay here again without hesitation and truly hope that I have the opportunity to return someday.
