Ibi in Los Alicantos, Southern Spain
Posted 21 Jan 2013 on HotelsThe Hotel Plata in Ibi is a most welcoming, clean & secure hotel in a pleasant light industrial town on the edge of the Font Roja (Red Spring) Nature Park. Both "Buenavetura's" (father & son) are very friendly & couldn't be more helpful, with Buenaventura Senior providing a number of bound, laminated walking guides, with a great number of the walks being walkable directly from the hotel. "Junior" speaks excellent English as he is currently schooling in England. Our room was excellent, decked out in black marble (as is a lot of the hotel) with bathroom complete with a double jacuzzi. Breakfast is excellent, with fresh squeezed orange juice, excellent strong coffee & a fresh fruit salad to die for - variously kiwi fruit, orange segments, banana, melon, apple, pear, etc, along with jamon, queso, & tostados. You will also find the excellent "Mi Rey" tapas bar a short walk from the hotel; please give our regards to Ramon (the young owner) & Andrea one of the waitresses. It is a great family-friendly place & we were there for Epiphany, which was great fun. Don't muck about with a small cerveza, go for the "cerveza grande" & you'll end up with a goldfish bowl on a stem! The wine list, is, as you'd expect also good value. Enjoy.

Por primera vez después de tantos y tantos hoteles visitados en mas de 25 países , me toca poner una opinión negativa , el hotel en si esta bien pero la gestión y procedimientos son totalmente nefastos , nadie atiende el hotel , como mucho pueden encontrarte alguien por la mañana que hace todas las funciones, hace habitaciones, pone desayunos, cobra etc , pero es personal solo de trabajo , al día siguiente de mi estancia, pague la habitación en metálico , la chica que me atendió se equivoco con el cambio y nos devolvía de mas, le rectifique y le devolví el dinero, todo esto lógicamente esta grabado por la cámaras de la recepción , sin embargo al día siguiente al comprobar la cuenta bancaria vi que lo habían cobrado también por tarjeta a traves de la web Expedia ?? , hice la reclamación y 8 días después, el Gerente no coje el teléfono, envié múltiples wassap y hasta el día de hoy , 8 días después que le he comentado que de no recibir el reintegro me vería en la obligación de denunciarlo , a contestado por fin , solo para indicarme que no aceptaba amenazas ¿?¿?¿? , en fin , increíble pero cierto, una pena que este tan mal gestionado, por mi parte he iniciado la reclamación donde corresponde.

Nos encantó el hotel. Habitación muy bonita con bañera con hidromasaje, parking gratuito . Personal muy agradable.

Mal el personal de recepción
Posted 8 Aug 2018 on HotelsEl hotel en general está bien, la habitación es cómoda y está limpio, pero el personal de recepción necesita mejorar, ya que a mi llegada no me permitían entrar a la habitación reservada porque decían que no había sido pagada, aun mostrándoles los datos de la reserva y la confirmación del pago.
