I would have given this property a higher rating if the initial check in process was more welcoming. As my son and I checked in, we were WARNED not to even bring any marijuana into the hotel or there would be a $300 cleaning deposit. The assumption that we were smokers or pot heads was insulting, especially after seeing an ashtray near the parking entrance filled with cigarretes butts and half smoked cigars...and how could they threaten a guest with a $300 cleaning fee with amount of dirt already accumulated in the corners of the bathroom floors? The breakfast was good if you like pork you'll have more options. It's a short drive to main street where the party is jumping and to the oceanfront where the views are spectacular. The room is small but good if you dont plan on spending a lot of time in it. We booked a double for 3 days and only spent about a total of 6 hours in the room.

It has come to our attention that there was a misunderstanding regarding the payment method used at check-in. The credit card presented at check-in was not in the name of the individual on the reservation. While we understand that your husband, whose name was on the card, was present, our policy requires that the card match the name on the reservation. We requested an alternative form of payment to comply with these security measures. We regret that this situation ultimately led to your decision to leave our establishment when we simply asked you to provide your own card.
