"Ok so let me start, the location of this hotel is accent and I don’t think it can be beat, the breakfast was top notch and actually the best hotel breakfast we had on our trip. There’s really nothing bad can say about this hotel, staff was very friendly and tried to help with any question I had.. so pretty much 10/10"

"This is the perfect location for a good price in Kyoto. It seems to be a recent construction, as the materials and finishes look modern and new. We were not looking for extensive amenities such as gym, shops, etc. We stayed for 7 nights in order to carry out daily trips from Kyoto while still enjoying the city during late afternoons. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of traditional and non-traditional foods served from 6:30am, which was a plus to start early our days. The rooms extremely quiet, clean, and the rooms big for Japan standards. The bathroom was even larger than expected. The shower is a separate room with an integrated tub which was a good surprise. The 7-eleven connected to the hotel is super convenient for late snacking. So we were extremely satisfied as it is so close that made everything so convenient. Highly recommend if this is what you are looking for!"

"in true Japanese character, the hotel was in perfect form from both the staff engagement to the facilities. This is not even taking consideration of the location being significantly convenient being above the train station which in itself for Western standards is well above our expectations."

"Hotel is under going renovation. No disruption encountered except you'll see some workers at the lobby. However, it is well managed and everyone is polite. Counter staff were friendly and helpful. Great location as it is just about 4mins away from Kyoto Station! Read the public bath is good but didn't have a chance to use it. Lots of convenient stores around the hotel as well! Room was new and I can lay out 2 mid size luggages at the same time. However, I must say precision maneuvering is required with 2 people in the room especially so when near the 'corridor' outside the toilet. Constantly reminded me of the movie 'Entrapment' when Cat Zeta-Jones was doing the security laser maneuver especially so when using the toilet!!! I'm use to the size of toilets and hotel rooms in Japan but no matter how prepared I am, the size of this toilet just gets me under my skin! The tap in the toilet is another annoyance for me as I can never understand the instructions to lower the water pressure. Too high tech for me I guess... "
