This is a lovely sheep farm that is very convenient if you're driving the Ring Road or just visiting Jokulsarlon. The dinner was really good as well as the included breakfast buffet. The restaurant closes at 9 pm so keep that in mind for planning! Also there is free coffee and hot chocolate, self-serve, all hours.

Very out of the way, very quiet
Typical European style room
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable
Just the 2 of us but the hotel
Had one large and one small tour groups
Sufficient Staff to take care of guest's
Dining for dinner and breakfast was fine.

Older property but big rooms - very nice staff- remote location and so was nice to have a quiet place to land for the night- plus the artic adventure iceberg/kayaking trip met at this hotel- so this was convienient for once we finished that!

Smyrlabjorg has its charms, though it is not luxurious. It reminds one of summer camp, with old world decorations. Breakfast was tasty. A drawback was the weak wifi signal in the rooms; many guests sat in the common areas to use the network.
