The Priory was a delightful find situated in the Herefordshire countryside about 4 miles from Hereford. We stayed in one of the self-contained apartments which was both comfortable and well-equipped. The owners were very helpful and responded very quickly to questions we had pre-arrival including a recommendation for an evening meal at the Bell Inn in Tillington.

Didn’t sleep very well due to the layout of the bedroom, the green light from the fire exit was directly by the bed. Ended up sleeping down stairs on the sofa husband slept on the floor. Other than that the accommodations and location was lovely, but not sleeping well had a big impact on our stay.

We are so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us.We are aware that the emergency lighting is a little brighter than some guests are used to in a sleeping space but it is a legal requirement for us to have this, in case of a power outage, to guide you to safety.It's a shame that you chose to leave us a 1* review as you seemed to enjoy the rest of your stay. Had you mentioned the issue to use during your time with us, we may have been able to relocate you.

Self contained accommodation

The only small criticism is the fire escape light that is very bright and shines in the bedroom and along with thin curtains makes the room light at night.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us.Perhaps next time, double check what you are booking before you arrive - bed & breakfasts don't usually have evening restaurant facilities and we are entitled to charge you for a breakfast when you book a room only rate; this doesn't entitle you to take the in-room toiletries to make up for your short fall.Hopefully you find somewhere that suits your requirements better next time you visit Hereford.
