Menu for the evening meal was limited due to non availability of certain items. Room was tiny didn’t realise when choosing. Self service continental breakfast was average.
Staff tried to be helpful but it was apparent that they were short staffed.

Decent room and comfortable bed, but hadn't been hoovered on our arrival and we found previous guest's hair almost everywhere in the room, toilet and bath included. Light fixtures only half-worked, WiFi signal was weak, the entire room shook when our neighbour used their front door and there was no curtain on the skylight. That said, it's a relatively cost-effective stay, we had a decent night's sleep both evenings and it's a short car journey to Hay-on-Wye, which is the reason we booked in the first place.

The property is lovely the mattress was a bit too soft for me in room 6 the free continental breakfast was great yogurts cerials fruit toast etc very hot in the room could do with a flat sheet on bed instead of a thick quilt so that you could have just had the sheet covering you some one else said that too

A lovely old pub surrounded by peaceful countryside. Our bedroom was clean,tea &coffee, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner all supplied. The staff are all very friendly,and willing to help in any way.
