A very warm welcome. The hotel is in a beautiful location but is a bit tired. However it is gradually being refurbished. Our room was very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was excellent with everything freshly cooked. We would definitely stay here again.

Location near the sea

Owners are working hard to upgrade the facility. Very friendly and nothing was a problem. Nice breakfast, but there is an extra fee.

Lovely family run B&B

Being run as a B&B currently. Lovely room, but had some issues with hot water. Owners very responsive to that and extremely friendly

Not as good as our last stay. Combination of no longer having breakfast included in the room rate seems to be a mistake from the owners. Price point equivalent adds an ok breakfast at the same overall price so adds value when dining out options are limited locally. Service was a bit unique and not representative of previous visit just a few weeks ago. Would implore the owners to revisit their model as we wouldn't stay here and pay a premium for an albeit great breakfast again when we are only looking for a bed for the night and can pay half the price to stay elsewhere. Shame, as our last trip was great, but we won't be back. Give them a go though and I'm sure you will enjoy the place. Despite its age the owners are slowly refurbing and refreshing which gives it great charm but if you are price focused, broaden your search area.

Hi David, I think there has been a big misunderstanding here - we have not changed our pricing or breakfast policy since your last visit. We have always offered a 'room only' rate and a 'bed and breakfast' rate - in fact, booking websites such as this negatively affect us if we do not offer these different rate plans. If guests know they do not want breakfast, it is entirely unfair to charge a 'one size fits all' room rate in which they are paying for breakfast. The only difference between your last visit and this most recent visit, was you selected the room only rate this time. Of course, if somebody has booked a room only rate and wants to add on breakfast, there is a charge for this. I'm sure you don't expect us to offer free breakfast to those that have specifically chosen a cheaper room rate that doesn't include breakfast.It does seem unfair that we're being marked down heavily here for an issue that we could have done nothing to prevent - we cannot select your room rate for you. And it's certainly a shame that you have said you won't be back because of this.All the best,Darren
