The hotel was quaint, a bit warm in the evenings but it was nice a fan was provided. The location is great!

Staff was wonderful. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Walking distance to all old town attractions. Would highly recommend.

In the very heart of the most beautiful part of the old town. Magnificent view. The staff was also very helpful.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. However, May 1 was a holiday and there was quite a bit of celebration the night before in the streets along the river. But, the location of the hotel is awesome with a great view of the river and bridge with easy access to walking the streets of Heidelberg..

Excellent place in all categories… gave a little less rating for cleanliness only because there was a strong urine smell in the bathroom. If they sort that out that would be great. And yes we would definitely be back!

The smell was most likely not caused by the lack of proper cleaning but by the air pressure and the old sewage pipes in our historic and landmarked building as well as in all of Old Town Heidelberg. This specific smell sometimes occurs out of the blue and if we had known about the problem one of employees would have taken care of it right away as the front office is manned 24/7. I stayed at this hotel n 1984 my first trip to Europe. I love it being a hotel with character.

Loved our stay at this hotel! The on-site restaurant was fabulous! The staff was amazing and so helpful! Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Our balcony looked out over the River and the Bridge. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Heidelberg.
