Great location, easy to get around, very walkable. Fabulous, friendly and helpful staff. Felt safe. Had a lovely outside dining and lounge area.

Great place and very helpful and friendly staff.
I chose this place because of the decor and I was not disappointed.

Unfortunately, because I rely, I have to write a poor review. Staff were fantastic. Anna, Roberto, Camilo…all great, very helpful,friendly. Contact prior to arrival was prompt, professional and helpful.
My room ….the floor was dirty on arrival, the bathroom had many dead mosquitos, some squashed and the white bath mat was quite dirty. Towels were surprisingly small, old and threadbare, the face washer had a rust stain, unsurprising as the hand basin stand is full of rust. The liquid hand cleaner ran out first day and was not replaced. Soap holder and or a shelf in the shower was missing, having been broken off at some point. The bed head was broken where someone had lent back against it and the sheets were again old and threadbare. I requested a room clean on the second day, my sheets were changed but with more sheets that had patches where stains had been rubbed away until seethrough. The dirty bath mat remained despite the towel and washer being removed from the top of it where I had deliberately placed them so as everything would be picked up and replaced. The dead mosquitos, I counted eighteen, remained in the bathroom for the four days of my visit. On my last night, there was much yelling /loud talking inside the hostel for Forty minutes at 1-2.00Am.
Unsure if it was the night manager who only works one night per week doing the yelling or whether he was allowing others to create so much noise. We had two rooms booked and both of us commented about it the next morning.

We take room cleaning very seriously and as the manager, I was surprised to hear your comments about the room. Rest assured I will take the necessary steps to fix and prevent these oversights and apologize for not fulfilling your expectations.Currently, as part of our ongoing maintenance efforts, we are in the process of replacing all the bed sheets, bedspreads, and towels. Regrettably, there are still some sheets and towels that have not been replaced and a few details in your room that have yet to be addressed, but we will speed up these processes and these issues with our immediate attention.We are located in the heart of Old Havana, this is indeed a vibrant and lively area, surrounded by closely spaced housing units and a lively nightlife, this occasionally leads to some noise on the weekends, although it is not common. We make every effort to ensure the utmost tranquility and privacy of our guests by closing the main entrance at night and all the common area windows, but sometimes this is not enough. I understand that this may have been an issue during your stay, and I offer my heartfelt apologies.Having said this, I am very pleased to hear that you found our team and pre-arrival communication smooth and friendly, I will make sure to let them know. I hope you might consider giving us another opportunity to host you in the future, and we will make every effort to provide you with an even more enjoyable stay.
