VISIT TO MY SON IN HANOI

Posted 15 Apr 2017
Pros: THE STAFF AND LOCATION
Cons: DEEP CLEAN AND/OR REDECORATION/REFURB
Location: Excellent bookshop and cafe bar "The Bookworm" next door. Lots of typical Vietnamese shops and eateries. Lovely walks around Truc Bach Lake.
The only three redeeming things about this hotel were firstly, the staff who, despite little English language, were extremely friendly and helpful; secondly the proximity to my son's home and thirdly Truc Bach Lake. The first room I was offered was appalling. The bathroom was absolutely filthy with ground in dirt! There was no wardrobe! I was offered 2 further rooms, same filth in bathrooms, the balcony on one looked onto a cement wall, and the other was full of rubbish. The third room and I guessed the last had to do. However, no wardrobe, again filthy and outdated bathroom. The uncleanliness is ground in dirt. Shower although over the bath leaked all over the floor. Bed hard as nails. I had paid for for a deluxe room with balcony. This is not my idea of deluxe. As in most places across Hanoi, wifi readily available. I stayed at A25 hotel Ba Dinh last year and it was excellent. I am afraid the pictures on the website are not a true representation of A25 Chau Long.

我是来考试的,唯一一点我不明白为什么越南酒店都有一块大镜子对着床?很不舒服,真的是一块超大镜子对着床...半夜起床都要被自己吓醒
