A beautifully presented Lodge. Quiet, relaxing and I loved the artwork. Lovely staff and an enjoyable meal. Enjoyed the double spa bath. A most pleasurable night. Will definately return. Amazing views and so ptivate

We stayed 2 nights in a Deluxe Spa Suite. The room was spacious, clean & warm. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large & well appointed, included a 2 person spa bath & double sinks. I thought that I had booked a room with more kitchen facilities. A microwave or benchtop oven/airfryer would have been good. There was a jug & 2 each plates, utensils etc. We ordered room service dinner on the first night. We had to enquire after 75mins, meal finally arriving 90 mins from ordering. The food was average at best. Two plates of Ribeye Steak that had a grey looking tinge, on top of 8 thick cut chips, 1pce ea broccoli, cauli & carrot on ea plate. We were glad we ordered a side of veg to share. We did enjoy the suite & facilities in it & the staff were helpful & courteous.

The property was clean and tidy, the outside spa was not warm and water didn't look fresh and clean. We booked for dinner, were seated and had order taken promptly. The garlic bread arrived after about 25 mins but was overcooked. The mains took an hour and 20 mins and we only got it then cause another table questioned where their food was. The food arrived and it was disappointing, steak was chewy, not much vegetables or sauce. My chicken dish was meant to be herb crusted, there was no crust and it was a tenderloin cut in half. A tablespoon of layered potatoes not duck fat potatoes, and dollop of mashed potato, 2 bits of broccoli and 1 piece of carrot. It was an absolute let down, we could have cooked a better meal ourselves for half the price. There was no apology or explanation.

A hidden gem .... we booked one of the suite rooms ... spa on the outside balcony, spa in the bathroom ... gas fire in the lounging area and a bed that was just brilliant ... highly recommend it. Did not get to sample the restaurant however I suspect it was as good as the rest of the lodge.

Two joint single beds given instead of one king bed. Both single beds deep from the middle and caused us back pain.
