It is right on the Elbe River with easy cheap service to the Hamburg harbor and downtown area. The cruise and container ships pass your window and if you like to stay in your room you have a beautiful view of their comings and goings. The Rilano Hotel is my favorite of all Hamburg Hotels. The breakfast is sumptuous and the staff very friendly. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Terrible choice overall

Avoid this hotel if possible. Service is terrible, rooms are noisey with poor sound insulation between rooms. Cigarette smoke infiltrates non-smoking rooms. Breakfast is over-priced and unappetizing. It's hard to get to, out of the way and has almost no shops of other places near to purchase basics. During the Covid crisis - everything (spa, bike rental, outside bar, room service) was unavailable "due to Corona". Only plus - it's near to te Airbus factory. But not near to the spotting mound unless you have a car.

Plenty of empty rooms but want to charge extra 30 Euros for riverside room. In the middle of nowhere and hard to get to. Free Shuttle service at meaningless hours from 9pm to 11 pm Fri and Sat. So stingy and only allow one internet device at a time so I had to switch between phone and laptop. Expensive and subpar restaurant. Walking distance to nothing and no other decent restaurants around. 20 Euros for a Holiday Inn style breakfast buffet. Small and dusty rooms. Gym with no equipment. A few friendly staffs. One Euro in room drinks and beer. Free beer for passing up room cleaning but only one voucher per stay. Really? Then I just passed up one of my 2 days. Sorry I am no Greta Thunberg.

Good place to stay if you are visiting Airbus. Pleasant outlook over the river. Good quality rooms and service.
