Good points- staff was friendly and it is very close to the main train station.
Bad points - no air conditioning. Very old building with rules about when elevator turns off, etc, Musty smell. Breakfast had the smallest, most limited selection I have ever seen. People were screaming on the street at all hours.

Reasonable value for the money. WiFi didnt work on the top floor in the back but was fine in the hallway. Breakfast buffet was a good selection. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy as populated by loitering migrants so would avoid late night walks, but its conveniently close to the central train station.

Location was a bit dodgy. If I were a single woman, I would not stay there. After 8pm the street is occupied mostly by men, mostly drinking.
Elevator is locked after 10pm "for your safety".

Rooms were typical of older European hotels. Small with no air. Very nice folks, wi-fi worked great and the breakfast was very good.

Hotel located close to the train station. The young man who welcomed us at the reception was fantastic and very helpful.
The room was small and the shower was in the middle of the room. As I was there with my daughter, we had to take turn inside/outside the room to take a shower!
Free coffee and juice in the lobby, but often empty.

Nice small family feel hotel
Posted 20 Mar 2018Had a great stay in Hamburg. Early check in was no problem. Room basic but clean and comfortable with tea and coffee both downstairs and hot water facilities in the room. Nice continental breakfast and friendly staff. Very close to Hauptbanhof but the area could be a bit intimidating for some people at night.
