The building is old, which adds character, but also shows its age in the bathrooms & the second room I stayed in smelled. Overall, beautiful property and location and historic charm.

Our stay went very well and it was an excellent part of our stay and the history of Haines being at the Halsingland Hotel. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you Jeff.

It is like s big old empty house, neat and tidy but updated only as much as absolutely necessary. If you are looking for historical, this is it. 100 year old stuff is everywhere. The staff met us at the front desk for check in, after a RING camera on the counter signaled him, at his house I suspect. We did not see him or anyone else for the next 20 hours, including at checkout. The room was ok. The bathroom was very small but the sink and shower tub were fairly modern and got their job done. We slept well.

There are no restaurant or bar services. No wifi. Property not as listed.
