Rest stop on road trip

space ok for one person for one night but not particularly quiet so not the best rest stop.

The room is really small. The shower is a bit weak the door doesn't close properly and the drainage is a bit blocked.

All the essentials
Posted 10 Sep 2020 on HotelsI was taking care of some family business and needed a place to stay. No frills, but all the essentials. Like a motel with plenty of parking, close to highway. Good breakfast in the morning. A little bar for an evening drink. A pizzeria and a steakhouse just next to it (were not open due to covid). Not much to do around as the hotel is in a Z.A.
Was recently renovated. Room is a little small but functional. Bedding is comfortable. Good WiFi and TV with plenty of channels. Staff is very friendly. I liked the place.

Ok for the money

Clean comfortable room at reasonable price.
Receptionist not very helpful, she charged us £1 more than agreed Expedia price, gave us a room that was not ready for occupancy, went back to reception and was given another room which would not open with the code she gave us. Went back to reception again and she said I should ask one of the cleaners to sort out the problem. Cleaners obviously couldn't understand my poor French and came back to reception with me to get instructions and then we finally got into our room. Had meal in L'Atelier Steakhouse which is joined to the hotel, the food came out of a freezer and was not cooked long enough still ice cold on the inside, they re heated it and brought it back but very disappointing. We might as well have gone to the McDonalds next door at least it would have been cheap instead of being expensive crap. If you just want a budget hotel room though it was fine

Ideal for 1 night with no extras
Posted 5 Dec 2017 on HotelsThis hotel provides a good standard for the budget price paid. But if you are only sleeping there for one night it is fine. Everything works but is very basic. Breakfast is OK for the price charged. Choice of restaurants within a few hundred metres, with discount vouchers for hotel guests.
