Clean, modern, attractive room with a nice bathroom, shower. Good aircon / heater. Friendly / helpful management. Exterior of parts of the property appeared to be old and in need of refurbishment. Quiet location. Short drive to supermarket, etc.

We stayed in the pet friendly room, just brilliant, large room, great beds, large tv.

Economic place to stay half way on the Melbourne to Sydney trip. Clean and comfortable. I travel this route often and always look for something away from the highway to limit the traffic noise. I know from experience that the trucks go all night. This looked to fit that criteria but it's high on a hill with no buffer between the highway and the room even though it's a distance away. So you will have some traffic noise. But very happy apart from that so if you're a heavy sleeper I don't think you'll do much better in Gundagai

Well-maintained budget motel at Gundadai
Posted 4 Mar 2024 on HotelsWell-maintained budget motel with pleasant views of the surrounding area. Wifi signal was weak and mobile reception (Telstra in my case) wasn't too good either. The TV remote didn't work properly. We found a note about it left by a previous guest that had not been actioned. Our room appeared to have been recently refurbished and was ideal for our overnight stop en route from Sydney to Melbourne.
