Bed Bugs, Fleas, Feral Cat Your Choice In the morning I woke to find bites on my arm from what appeared to be bed bugs. We sent a photo to hotel to ask them to address the issue. They never acknowledged the email. When we got back at the end of the day, we stopped by the front desk and asked what had been done in our room. The head housekeeper came out and stated they are a proper hotel and did not have bed bugs, they called a “very reputable” third party out and they confirmed it…. She then said they found a kitten in our room and that was the likely source, it had even used the rug for a toilet. She accused us of having the kitten and did not address the fact I was bitten the night before… it was all our fault. When we got to the room it smelled of cat pee. It did not the night before. We called the front desk and asked for a new room. While we waited for their call back, we heard a cat meow. We saw one under the bed. It finally climbed up into the box springs. We still do not know how this feral cat got into our room. They could not provide a replacement room of similar quality. They would not refund our stay. In desperation, we went to the Hilton property down the street for the night. I feel bad as we have suggested the Marina Haven to other sailors as a bed for a night or two. Unfortunately, over our time staying there, it has gotten worse and worse…. Stay at your own risk! Still waiting on refund and a proper apology.

This is a sister hotel that has 2 other properties and access was available by free shuttle to each. The best things about this property is the staff and location. Excellent service and attentiveness from the staff from the moment I arrived to the day I left. This location within the chain is like a third child, it's aged and in desperate need of renovation. No amenities to speak of just a pool.

Didnt have to go far for most of my activities. The shuttle even passed the mall which was convenient and the party spot. One on the sister hotels was also located on the beach and there was the option to dine at any of the 4 hotels. Staff was also friendly!
