No air-conditioning and hot weather made the heat in the apartment unbearable. It fluctuated between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius according to the thermostat (even with two fans running), but it felt hotter. The room was dusty and could have been cleaner. The spiral staircase to the loft was extremely steep and flimsy. One of the steps was broken and a heavier person could easily fall through. I pointed this out but it was never fixed during our stay. The room only has one key and cannot be unlocked without a key from the inside. One time I left the room and locked the door behind me, not realizing that my family left in the room would not be able to unlock the door in case of a fire. How did this hotel pass a safety inspection? On the positive side, the exercise room DOES have air-conditioning and pool is nice, and the people were friendly.

The apart-hotel rooms a large and comfortable. Beds are comfortable. They then down the beds, change the towels, give you a new sponge, cloth, dishwasher tablet and bottle of washing liquid every day, but they don't sweep the floor, and they don't give you a broom, so we spend a lot of time keeping in the floor sweeping up. The hotel is convenient for Arnhem and Nijmegen. There's an amazing rough and ready adventure playground in Groesbeek (Aventurenbos Stekkenberg) for children.

Great stay

Posted 9 Aug 2017
Pros: Roomy apartments, fully equiped, beautiful surroundings
Cons: Better illumination at back entrance or around the clock access from the lobby using access cards or codes.
Location: Groesbeek is know as the wine area of the Netherlands. Beautiful, peaceful and quiet, less then two miles from the German border.
In Julky 2017 i stayed at this hotel for the second time. Very roomy apartments, with a kitchenette and a sitting area. We even had two balconies to sit. Price was very affordable. The hotel is not staffed around the clock, the lobby closes at 10 PM and the back entrance is not well lit so it can be a bit scary. Also, late night entrance means taking one floght of stairs which can be cumbersome if you shopped a lot. But the staff was friendly, the kitchenette is fully equied and allows you to have a nice self-cooked breakfast in your room. You can also have breakfast downstairs if you don't feel like cooking. Impressive gym with inside pool make this hotel one of the best places to stay if you are in or around Nijmegen/Groesbeek area. Top.

Nice surroundings and location. Nice rooms.

Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Make sure reception and bar is open as advertised, especially on Windage and does not close early.
Location: Excellent. Everything close at hand.
It was what was available at the time but I was pleased with the experience.

No access after 10pm and dangerous

Posted 27 May 2016 on Hotels
This was a 2 star at best, the only reason it has more stars is it has a pool and bar. No food at hotel Room was rubbish with a dividing wooden pull across wall, that you were basically in the same room as the next door. When I came home at 10pm the doors were locked and I was walking about for 20 mins trying to get in. Completely shut no security, bar or reception open. I had to walk around the back very dark to a dangerous Fire escape with holes in a metal floor to get in. Older people would struggle very badly getting over the trip hazards. Worst hotel ever. Stay somewhere else, others are local. Keith

Groesbeek

The hotel was above our expectations, the pool and other facilities were very good. The room we had contained a fridge, oven and hob, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. The beds were very comforfable and the shower was great. It was just under 10-minutes to walk to the town centre where there were a few shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Car parking was plentiful and it was very peaceful. The reception staff were very helpful.

Nice hotel to stay in.

A little different kind of hotel, very health oriented. A very nice room along with a separate bedroom (little cramped) and a nice bath room. Very comfortable for our stay.
