Das Bodmi is a beautiful hotel, with excellent views both from the dining terrace and from each room's balcony. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is ample and satisfying and the staff are very friendly. The only thing you need to know before booking is- as with most places in Switzerland, there is no AC. You will have to sleep with windows open which can create a need to interact with other guests who may ask you to quiet down or whom you may ask to quiet down. This happened to us, but was not a big deal. More important to know, this hotel is not "in town", it is a 10 minute or so walk down into town and a serious climb back out. There is a bus, but it stops at 7 so you cannot have a late night in Grindelvald unless you are in good shape to walk back up the hill. - It worked for us because we were looking for quiet...if you are hoping to hop between hotel and town several times a day, it might now work so well. We would stay there again for sure!

The view from the terrace is incredible. The bus stop is less than 1 minute away. The room was overall clean and spacious. I didn't like that microwave wasn't available especially when the restaurant at the property closes on Monday and Tuesday.

We had a great 2 day stay at Hotel Bodmi. The location is just too good in the mountains. We didn't have a car and found the bus very convenient. The downhill and uphill walks to and from Grindelwald are steep, but doable in 15 mins.
The staff was extremely nice, genuine and helpful. They went out of their way to help their guests. We dined at their restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious and the service even better.
Overall - we had a GREAT experience

The restaurant on site had a very good breakfast included. We chose too eat there for dinner one night and the meal was delicious.

Posted 4 Sep 2019 on HotelsOur experience at this hotel was pretty good. The guy who received us at the reception was very nice and explained how to get around in the city. He then later showed us to the room. Our room had a balcony, that was shared with three other rooms and provided one of the best views of the city. The room was pretty spacious. The service we received at the hotel was very heart warming. Everyone wanted to help. The host was very welcoming and made sure we didn’t have any issues during our stay. First night we tried the barbe cue grill on the outdoor terrace at the hotel, it was 35 Fr per person and was very tasty. Hotel has Free parking which came in very handy.
