I don't even know how this place is still open...
Posted 20 Aug 2018 on HotelsSo, where do I start...I hesitantly booked this place just hours in advance because of a flight issue, and was wondering why in the world an all-inclusive hotel had rooms available in late July without issue. So, we arrive, a shuttle was listed to be included, we called and they repeatedly told us no then just hung up. Took a taxi to a dirty, sketchy area of the island late at night. This "all inclusive" hotel includes nothing-not even what's listed as free like wifi and A/C. It's "free" watered down drinks and food we wouldn't even eat, that's all. Our room was so run down and disgusting that we had to buy towels to sleep on and couldn't shower without shoes plus a various array of bugs throughout the bathroom and the shower drain next to the toilet (not joking). People hang all around the property like it's a free-for-all hostel in the slums with half eaten plates of food and empty cups and garbage everywhere around. I walked past a woman almost in tears because the sheets in her room had BLOOD on them and she was there with a baby. I can't properly and accurately describe the sub-standard conditions in this place, honestly, because any phrasing I use just isn't even as bad as the reality surrounding Zante Plaza Hotel. Then at the end, the woman at the desk refused to give me a receipt for my stay. Such a surreal experience. You've been warned.

Food was good, close to hotel and strip
Posted 21 Jul 2017Stayed here for 1 week with my 2 friends. We stayed in a Studio. There was a fridge, TV and kettle with mugs. Our room was on the bottom floor right by the pool which was great. The pool was clean and looked quite new. The room itself was very clean, a maid came once a day at lunchtime and clean floor, made beds and changed towels. There was limited space for clothes and luggage but we made do. Air Con is available but at €7 per day. Wifi was €1 per day, however if you book with Expedia it's free. We also had to pay €15 for a safe. I would recommend paying extra for a safe as I didn't feel the doors had the best security. Bathroom wasn't great. The shower rail was hanging down, however the shower head itself was modern. There are 3 pools. The biggest one was my favourite. The food was great. They had lots of opportunities to eat and every night they have a themed night at the themed restaurant. You have to reserve a seat at the reception buts it's free! The hotel was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk the main strip, which was really handy! They can also book things for you at the reception e.g. Shipwreck beach! I wouldn't recommended this for families, in fact I wouldn't recommend Zante in general for families as this is a clubbing destination for 18-30 year olds! There were reps at the hotel from Airtours, we didn't book with them but they still helped us out and they sorted us a paint party at Rescue for us! Overall I enjoyed my stay at Zante Plaza.

Perfect location
Posted 8 Jul 2017 on HotelsPerfect location for young people as so close to the strip and the beach. Food was nice and we loved the themed nights in the second restaurant. Staff were really friendly. Arranged excursions and taxis for us very easily and for very good prices.

amazing hotel
Posted 3 Jul 2015the hotel staff are so friendly and chatty and always there to help, the hotel is close to the strip down a little alleyway, but be careful of the gyspy children who stand at the end! we constantly felt safe there as the staff were happy to help with any problems, they look after your keys whilst your out which is helpful. and there is someone on reception 24:7. there was a unlimited bar for two hours most nights after all inclusive ended which cost 10€. the food is really nice and the snack menus are like proper meals. overall i'd give the hotel a 10/10 and would definitely go back!

Great value, service, and overall vacation

Pros: The staff and management made us feel like family. Great customer service.
Cons: The establishment itself was a little dated, and the WIFI connection could use a little improvement.
Location: Location was great, close to main, busy streets. Was right next to a convenience store that sold toiletries and snacks.
Excellent hotel with great staff and management. Made us feel extremely welcome during our vacation to Greece.
Our group loved the evening entertainment/activities in the lobby every night. They were so much fun and we were always encouraged to participate! The staff always seemed to get everyone involved.
Also, the food was absolutely delicious. We were extremely well fed the entire week. The hotel even packed us custom lunches when we went on day trips to explore the island and would miss meals.
As a group of students studying abroad in Europe for the semester, I highly recommend this hotel if you really want to get incredible value and service for a great price. I would also recommend this hotel for families. It's a great place for everyone, really.
Thank you so much for such an amazing trip! Hope to return to Zakinthos again soon.
