Budget Hotel - not near the old town

Posted 23 Sep 2022 on Hotels
A very basic, budget hotel with no frills. Awful view of other guests rooms and balcony. Pool closed at 6. No iron or ironing board. In the middle of nowhere and NOT near Rhodes old town. You get what you pay for I guess, but personally a very disappointing stay.

Nice hotel - you get what you pay for

Posted 30 Aug 2016 on Hotels
We had to change rooms and pay for a better room, the first room was tiny outdated and view towards a brick wall. However, paying for a better room was worth it - we got a nice sized room, with a nice balcony and view to the ocean! The hotel is located about 20 minutes from old town, but with easy access and bus links to most places. Overall it's a quite basic hotel, but a lovely pool area and just metres from the ocean.

New, modern hotel -heaven for Scandinavian kids

Posted 8 Aug 2016
Pros: The sea view was nice;
Cons: Sound proof rooms., less noise, better choice at breakfast
Location: Bar street with all the busy nightlife is 2 minutes wak, plus Elli beach is 10 min walk.OLd town is also 10 min wak fro the hotel.
This hotel has very nice views and very helpful staff, fluent in English. However , the rooms are not sound proof and it gets very noisy late at night as the Scandinavian drunk youngsters come back from nightlife. I would not recommend this hotel to someone who wants to have a peaceful rest as I struggled to sleep peacefully. Other than that, the cleaners, the receptionists and all other staff are super friendly. The hotel is on the west side of the island ad it gets very windy there.

MODERN HOTEL CLOSE TO BEACH

Posted 19 Sep 2015
Cons: CERTAIN STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL OTHERS DID NOT SEEM BOTHERED.
Location: GOOD LOCATION, LOCAL RESTURAUNTS GOOD
ARRIVAL TOLD WE HAD BEEN OVERBOOKED AND THEY WERE GOING TO PUT US IN THEIR SISTER HOTEL AGLA (70s DECOR) WE REFUSED TO GO AFTER LOOKING AT THIS HOTEL. THEY THEN MANAGED TO FIND 2 ROOMS FOR US AND OUR FRIENDS AFTER SAYING THEY HAD NO ROOMS AVAILABLE . CAN ONLY THINK THEY THOUGHT WE WERE THE EASY OPTION AS A FULL PARTY ARRIVED (coach) THE FOLLOWING DAY ???

Beach view

Posted 19 Aug 2015
Pros: The view
Cons: Add soap when you change towels, try doing it daily.
Location: The beach, food, an easy walk to the city centre.
I was offered an up grade without asking it was a beach view. That was the end of happy times. I was disappointed we had booked a double bed got two singles in the up grade. Bathroom not good water goses everywhere. The towels were also an issue only every two days. Not good when it's so hot.

An option to be considered

Posted 24 Jun 2015 on Hotels
Decent place to stay. Friendly staff. The room and bathroom were small, though. The only thing I didn't like was the shower tha was opened (no glass) spreading water everywhere. But good location and value for money, but don't expect anything unforgivable.

Good budget hotel in ideal location!

Posted 12 Jun 2015
Pros: pool, location and sea view!
Cons: breakfast!
Location: close to new town and bar street for those who dare. Walking distance to old town for a calmer evening. if you survive the restaurant promotion guys
Stayed for a week in June, had the sea view room which had an amazing view of the ocean and sunset. Didn't disappoint! Beds are a little hard but clean hotel, breakfast wasn't the best so wouldn't count on it.. Hotel facilities were perfect, pool and outside area with bar is great, little reasonably priced supermarket within the hotel that proved useful! Awesome location just out of the new town and easy 5-10 min walk to old town. States free parking but this is on streets outside the hotel and the one way systems made it a little tricky to park on occasions. Overall, great stay and would use again!

Done up to a high standard - would book again!

Posted 24 Sep 2014
Location: Opposite the beach (windy side of Rhodes), near the aquarium. Not far from Rhodes Old Town - very close to the new town.
We had a room with a sea & pool view - although quite a walk from Rhodes Old Town, it was a pleasant walk along the coast path - especially with the cooling breeze! We were pleased with our room - last year booked a different hotel and the rooms were very disappointing compared with the images; however the Kipriotis was spot on - bright and fresh, with the added bonus of air-con. We only stayed one night as we were holidaying elsewhere on Rhodes, but the girls on reception were very friendly and provided a second pillow moments after the request. They also provided somewhere to store our bags until our room was ready. Breakfast was a varied buffet with cereal, fruit, continental and cooked options - no complaints there! Our only issue was with the shower in our room - although very modern (with radio, light, rainfall shower head and side jets!) - parts were a bit rusted/corroded... it didn't look old, it just seemed the shower rack wasn't made of the right material for inside a shower. It did take us a good 10 minutes to get water to come out (after having tuned the radio etc..) but I put that down to usually having booked an older hotel with a bog standard shower - it gave us a giggle anyway!
