Very friendly and hospitable staff. Lovely views. Great hot tub. Nice having your own kitchen area. Spacious bedroom. Dark bathroom that needed more lighting. Parking and approach to the property was challenging.

Nice location but guest house could be improved!
Posted 5 Sep 2020 on HotelsI stayed 2 nights at the Estate Retreat followed by 2 nights at the guest house.
The guest house has a beautiful location just as the hotel nearby.
However, few things need improvement:
1) Shower had no doors. The water would leak all over while showering and turn the bathroom in a true swimming pool.
2) Place is kind of (too) rustic for my taste. Not everyone would like it I guess.
3) Not even bottles of water were provided in the fridge.
4) A/C was a bit tired.
However all these negative things were neutered by the nice and welcoming team which made my stay a good stay.
If I have to come again, I'd rather stay at the Estate Retreat instead of the guest house.

The owner and staff are extremely warm and friendly, with exceptional quality food.
We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary and would strongly recommend it for a romantic stay or as a great locationfor walking or a relaxing at The local beaches and taverners.
We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to return one day!

Great Hotel and Oasis of Tranquility

Pros: Everything ! Comfort, clean rooms, great view on the mountains, room service.
Cons: Better sign on a main road when to turn into hotel
Location: Hiking, swimming
Great place to find a peace and relax. There are nice hiking routs and it is close a great beach in Soughlia. However, to get to the beach you need to have a car.

Posted 4 Jul 2016 on HotelsWe stayed for a week. A wonderful spot and marvellous, welcoming service from Flora. Breakfast a good option. Need a car but ideal for trips to beaches and walks. Samaria Gorge is a recommended, long walk. Sougia is close with bars, beach and restaurants.

Quite and Relaxing Stay

Pros: The property had a very "European" feel to it. Sleeping in a loft was different & nice. If you cannot climb a steep ladder then this is not for you.
Cons: The website could have better directions on how to find this property. It is not particularly easy to find and the turn-off is easy to miss.
Location: Unfortunately Samaria Gorge was closed during our 2-day visit--too early. Marianna, however, offered a couple alternative hikes which were very nice.
We had a good time there--2 nights. Souia was quaint, quiet, and very relaxing. Marianna made some recommendations for restaurants in Souia and they were outstanding. Some of the best food we had in the 38 days we were in Greece.
