BEST HOTEL BREAKFAST EVER! We are frequent travelers so that we are fussy about breakfast options. AMAZING and TASTY! Offerings we would not even have imagined including homemade cookies, both sweet and savory dishes, including numerous Cretan specialties as well as every part of both an English and a German breakfast. AND the staff were ALL extremely friendly and helpful. The sea views overlooking the port from our room as well as the rooftop restaurant/bar are breathtaking. We have already recommended this hotel to various travelers we met along the way.

This is a recently renovated old hotel. It still has that grand hotel ambience. It's a little off the city center but is still quite easy to walk to all the things you want to see or eat. The sea view is actually a view of the ferry port, so that's not much. The breakfast is excellent. Overall, it's quite nice.

An excellent stay. Large well appointed rooms. Staff was gracious. Very comfortable bed. Lovely view and blackout curtains. The rooftop restaurant had a wide array of selections that allowed for a light or full meal. The breakfast alone would be a reason to come back. 10 minute walk to ferry terminal. Most highly recommended.

We loved Megaron hotel- great location, super friendly staff, and outstanding clean rooms. It’s an easy walk to all downtown areas. The breakfast were 10 . Well if you come to Heraklion to visit Knossos , stay here.

My room had a stunning view of the port. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff was incredibly polite and attentive.

The breakfast was out of this world. The rooms were spacious clean, convenient to walking to many areas. Staff was wonderful.

Great location easily walkable to the city center and located next to public transportation if you want to visit the historical sites.
