A good choice
Posted 19 Aug 2020 on HotelsA good, clean, budget hotel. The staff were very friendly. The location is great. Overall, it's definitely very good value for money. Of course the facilities are dated, but you wouldn't expect anything more for the price. I would recommend staying here if, like me, you needed a few days stopover before a ferry or flight.
One small suggestion; I don't mind there not being any shampoo/body wash as it's clearly a budget hotel, but it would be good to have some soap in the bathroom.

Excellent budget hotel
Posted 13 Aug 2020 on HotelsHotel is old style and bathrooms do need a makeover. However the beds were fine, cleanliness excellent and good AC. The staff were very friendly. Hotel is well situated for everything in Kos Town

Great family run hotel
Posted 29 May 2019 on HotelsWe have been staying at this hotel off and on for many years and love it! Nice family run hotel with great friendly staff who make you feel so welcome.
Adequate breakfast, nice pool and lobby with bar, free WiFi.
It’s a firm favourite with us.

A firm favourite
Posted 20 Sep 2018 on HotelsWe don’t particularly like big modern hotels which is why we like The Captains. It’s been 10 years since our last stay and it was nice to see little had changed. Stefanos is a lovely friendly guy and all his staff are unchanged which must mean he’s doing something right, even Manos the night manager has been there 18 yrs and they are all so welcoming!
It’s a typically traditional Greek hotel with around 28 rooms. Rooms are functional and kept very clean with frequent towel changes, comfy beds and air conditioning.
Most rooms have small balcony which might be tight for some but adequate to sit out in the fresh air and there’s free wi fi.
The pool has been enlarged and is shared with the next door apartments.
The location is central just a short stroll to the beach, shops, harbour and loads of restaurants.
We love it and have already said we won’t be leaving it so long to return, hopefully next year?

Not a palace but value for money.
Posted 27 Jun 2015The Captain and his staff made us feel like we were family. They are very customer focussed.
The hotel is basic and the beds could be upgraded but overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice hotel with The Captain
Posted 15 Sep 2014The captain who is the owner of hotel, is very polite, helpfull and relevant. He said that once upon a time he was a captain but i think captain shall be all the time a captain :) His intense is felt in every corner of the facilities. Hotel location is between center of town and centre of beaches. Swimming pool is also good to relax. Thanx Captain for everything. Hi from Halicarnas.
