1st Hotel stay after COVID-19 Lockdown...

Staff and Service really nice and helpful, considering the challenging circumstances after the COVID-19 lockdown, however..., The rooms are in real need for a facelift to appeal and provide the comfort to meet todays standards. The breakfast area/bar could also get a more 'homely' feel and touch as it new looks more like a corporate canteen. The whole experience especially the breakfast procedures felt more like a hospital visit than having a nice 'breakfast with the family'... but we do understand the challenges the hotel faces keeping all guests healthy and safe and those procedures completely spoils the feeling of a 'nice weekend out with the family'. Suggestion: Don't let all guests put on latex gloves, all food in plastic wrappers etc. but switch from buffet style to breakfast being served by only one or two staff members who are wearing gloves and de-contaminate everything etc. This way, you also don't need a 'one-way' traffic system in a space which really can't handle that when you also try to accommodate a bus-load of Germans, so all other guests had to be allocated a ridiculous early breakfast time... I know, challenging times and the staff were lovely and helpful to try to hide all unpleasant procedures, but I can imagine it to be done differently, more pleasantly whilst adhering to the health and safety guidelines. One set of procedures for all your hotels, regardless of space and size won't work. Let the hotels independently decide what works.

A roadside motel close to bussstops

It was alright for the money I paid, I personally will probably pay a little more next time for a nicer/newer hotel or get a two star one in town instead. The hotel is a motel in every way. Public transportation was within walking distance but the motel is clearly meant for people on vacation with their cars. -No safe -No fridge -No A/C nor any other form of cooling which is a serious issue during the summer in a small room with two+ people. -Cheap and thin matress, I could feel the springs in some spots. -the bathroom reminds me of a public one at a campground. - The whole building could use work and a new coat of paint. It’s starting to look rundown. - Rooms weren’t super clean, the necessities were kept clean but beyond it certainly didn’t look clean. ( e.g. the toilet was clean but the tv remote clearly wasn’t). + Mc Donalds next door + busses go often from the bussstops that are ~5min walk away. + Friendly and the staff spoke English
