"The hotel is nice, but I wouldn’t visit again. The bungalows are dated and the water below is murky and filled with seaweed. We couldn’t use the beach, because of the seaweed. They were working hard to try and remove it, but it didn’t work. The food is delicious, but the menu doesn’t change much, so after 3 days, we were bored with the food options. There were ants in our room, so we called the front desk and they sent someone to spray the room. The fumes caused me to itch all over, so that was stressful and unfortunate. They don’t offer many activities. A DJ at the pool would be nice. Overall, it was a very quiet vacation, but not worth the hefty price. "

"Nice pools, good chairs around pools, good service, good food but no beach; it’s full of algae, the chairs are old and dirty, very small beach. Old and dirty bar on the beach. One looses the experience of being in a beach resort"

"I can’t say enough good things about Jungala! This was one of the best experiences I’ve had - we were a little worried about what we would come into as some of the Vidanta owners have complaints about their ownership plans but THIS is the model Vidanta should follow. The hotel gets the highest level of access to all parts of the resort, private concierge, private transportation all over the 1000 acre resort. We LOVED walking the jungle paths to our room which was enormous and beautifully appointed. I could not have asked for more. We saw lots of wild life and the environment is so peaceful. As a rule, my family does not return to the same resort as we want to see more of the world but we all want to return here! ♥️ Definitely see Joya - it was fabulous! "

"Everything was great! I would recommend having more options of activities for teens/young adults in the evening. Maybe a games room or other options. "
