The hotel oversees the city and is 30 minutes away from the main attractions.
The room was very clean and staff is very friendly. I wish they can supply the bathrooms with shampoos in the future.

Don't book through hotels.com

Great views from this hilltop hotel
Posted 22 Aug 2019 on HotelsThe hotel's location was great, as it sits atop a hill overlooking the city of Gondar. It does make for quite a walk into the city itself. If you are not up for walking, there's usually a tuk tuk hanging out outside, or you can have the hotel call a taxi. It's convenient to eat at the hotel, especially during the fasting time, however their food was palatable but not the greatest. The staff was friendly though, and there's a great souvenir shop located outside of the hotel as well. Besides the church and castle, I recommend going to Project Ploughshare Women's Pottery. The prices are very reasonable, and you will be supporting disadvantaged women.

OK for Ethiopia, but Terrible Sleeping
Posted 28 Mar 2018 on HotelsThe views were stellar, and the service was friendly, but our rooms were BOILING HOT, the sheets were scratchy, and the sound of barking/fighting dogs was so loud that no one got a good night's sleep.
