The property is "fine". Older style, but clean and pleasant enough to relax in. The reception is only in operation from 9-5 6 days a week and not on public holidays which is fine, but means that if you have any issues after this time, there's no way of solving them. For example on our last night, a smoke alarm just outside my room started "chirping" at 8 pm on a public holiday and there was no way of stopping it, no spare battery etc. Every time it chirped, my nervous system woke up, so had more or less no sleep. When I told the staff, they sort of shrugged and offered no apology, just wrote it down as a thing to fix. I didn't want a discount or anything but they just didn't seem to care. Be aware that the property is brilliantly located for the beach, but a ten /fifteen minute walk to restaurants etc Pool area well maintained. Kitchen well equipped. Hot water plentiful. I would say overall the experience was fine, and for the cost, value for money.

Our apartment was tried. The appliances were cheap and some old. The pool was great. Mold on the curtains in the kids bedroom.

I realised on day 1 that this was not a hotel accommodation. The positives were, across the road from the beach, and the walking path running all the way along the Gold Coast. Apartment was outdated. There was accumulated dust behind the bathroom door. The fans in the bathroom and the laundry did not work. The leather couch was not properly cleaned, and it was really uncomfortable. The plastic furniture on the balcony nearly fell off one windy night. The fact that after the first supply, I had to buy my own coffee and sugar goes against everything that is Australian. And I never before had to go to the basement to deposit the rubbish. Two weeks prior we were in a cabin, inside a camping site, on the beach, and we had the comforts of a hotel.

Am so pleased that you loved our location right across the road from the magnificent beach in Broadbeach and in walking distance to just about everything your heart could desire. I am so sorry that you did not read or understand the listing of our SELF-CATERING APARTMENTS – at no stage do we sell ourselves or our complex as a hotel, but rather, very clearly sell ourselves as what we are, self-catering apartments. We further explain in our terms and conditions, links included in all correspondence received from ourselves, that as self-catering apartments we only offer a small complimentary, starter pack and thereafter guests are expected to provide their own items that we kindly give them at the start. This is one of the differences between hotels and self-catering and hence the difference in the cost you pay for the two very different types of accommodation. Moreso, this module of accommodation is an Australian invention and therefore fully Australian in every sense of the word. Again, the self-disposing of refuse is standard in self-catering apartments. We further ask guests on check in and all correspondence that if they find anything they are unhappy with to report it while they are on-site so we can remedy the situation to their satisfaction. I have checked the records for your booking and no complaints were made, you therefore removed the opportunity to allow us to address the issues you are now advising us of, on a public forum, not sure how Australian this is? We have guests who love the apartment you stayed in and love the couch, guess it is all about personal likes and dislikes and trying to cater to these very varying likes is extremely difficult, if not impossible. I am so pleased that you so enjoyed your cabin experience and hope that from the experience at SELF CATERING apartments, that you now understand how self-catering apartments work and this will assist you to make the correct choice of what type of accommodation you want and are prepared to pay for.

On the beach with great sea views. Walkable to local eateries & shops. Good size apartment, with kitchenette & laundry if required. Have stayed before, & would stay again.

Close to everything, central to everything along the coast, beautiful beach view and lovely clean apartment. I will most definitely stay there again!
