Gateway Canyons is by far, the best experience we have had, in the last 20 years visiting Utah and Colorado. For the last 7 years, we have gone to Sorrel River Ranch in Moab, Utah. This year, we went to Gateway, and were blown away, by the over-the-top beauty of the Resort, and the surrounding area. This is the most beautiful location we have seen in 20 years ! There is Palisade Ranch, part of the resort, located very nearby, with horseback riding, that takes you through a gorgeous canyon, and into a Cottonwood forest…. Please check out Gateway Canyons Resort…. We think you will agree, that it is the most wonderful place to visit, year after year….

We had a magnificent stay but for the food. Had veggie burgers at Paradox which were tasteless. At “upscale” Entrada restaurant, we had their prix fixe tasting menu which was extremely disappointing. At $150 pp, all 4 in our party were “underwhelmed”. Wrong temperatures, overcooked, etc. I had a “jalapeño margarita” as expected, drinks were additional) which was returned as it was watery and tasteless. The mule replacement was a great improvement. We were told there were no “martini” glasses for those who ordered, yet we saw multiple ones go to other tables.
Our room, 134 was clean and spacious with a private patio. The only room suggestion would be to eliminate the tub as it was hazardous to “climb” into the shower.
The property is fairly isolated but there is much to do one premises. We hiked and truly enjoyed the buttes and other geological formations. Many wildflowers were already in bloom. Spent an hour at the Gateway Auto Museum. 30 /- classic and rare American vehicles in pristine condition.
