We stayed here recently and were very disappointed. We checked in and was told there was a continental breakfast. Went to get breakfast. There was a small plastic container with 6-8 very small bite sized cinnamon rolls and coffee only.
We woke up in our room to find the floor was flooded with condensation as well. The front staff we spoke to it about was rude and said that can happen on the first floor. We stay in Galveston all the time for weekend a get away and have never experienced floors flooding with condensation. And rudeness. There’s more, but not worth going into it. Don’t stay there.

We do apologize for the inconvenience you experienced, but yes, we have an exterior corridor entrance and when people prop the door open or turn the ac off, it makes the room sweat. We also apologize for any rude behavior encountered with our staff as that should not be an issue. Unfortunately, we do not control how science works. Otherwise, we do hope you enjoyed your stay in Galveston.

We were not expecting the Mariner to shine so much Excellent look and comfort Very clean. True value.

This was a simple plain ordinary small room. The bed was clean, comfortable and a wonderful view of the beach. You could hear the street noise and some nights it was pretty loud. The staff were very helpful and kind. We have no complaints. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The showers have almost zero water pressure. That’s enough for me to not come back again. However, the location is great and the price is great. The door locks are really rusted and needed replaced too so security may be a concern as well. 2-3 stars not terrible but not great either

Front desk ladies were not helpful, guest were outside with the speakers loud. Room had bugs. Small room. Small beds.

We do apologize for the inconvenience you may have experienced, but welcome to Galveston Island where people come to enjoy themselves. We understand it might be difficult for others but cannot police people unless it is after hours. Rooms have bugs and no complaint was made during your stay, but yet online. Some people are not meant for some places as some places are not meant for all people. Clearly, here is an example.

Hotel for the money wasn’t bad. Room was clean but had some issues in the room. Minor stuff nothing serious. Parking lot was filthy but it was on sea wall. Maybe the wind and stuff blew trash around. Otherwise a nice place.
