Not sure if all hotels are charging for parking these day like in Vegas but its quite silly

I prepaid $24 for breakfast for two , but the hotel only charges $5 for breakfast. The front desk charged me $20 for overnight parking, but the sign posted in front of parking lot only charges $10 per day. Wondering why?
