Rather Disappointing

Only one person available to handle check-in and they were tied-up quite awhile with another couple asking for special arrangements to accommodate friends arriving the next day. Despite low occupancy rate, room was right off the lobby area and ground floor. Was advertised as having a balcony - implies at least one floor up. We were told nothing else was available even if we wanted to pay more. No coffee maker or water boiler in the room. Again, advertised with but we were told through "corona measures" the hotel decided to eliminate them from the rooms. I would have at least expected other arrangements such as coffee in the lobby but nothing was done to resolve the situation. Check-out was again a very long process - just one clerk to handle several people. Buffet was mediocre but many items were not covered and had stood open for some time. Service was good. Location was excellent but be aware that use of masks on the promenade appeared to be haphazard. Very limited parking available at the hotel with no alternative options provided. Given the alternatives in Morro Jable we were disappointed and will look elsewhere in the future.

Nice hotel on beach but rubbish entertainment

Pros: Great location and kept clean
Cons: Get some decent entertainers for the evenings
Location: Lovely local town.
This is a nice hotel, well located and kept clean. However what spoiled it was the rip off bar prices and rubbish entertainment in the evening. Most of the acts were the same as last year and generally poor. Fortunately the local town festival gave good evening entertainment and we found a really friendly bar which also had live music on certain nights.

Pros: Excellent beach, swimming pool area, rooms with sea view.
Cons: Having half board mineral water and coffee/tee are not included. You have to pay for.
Location: Location is comfortable, in the village with many restaurants.

A perfect place to stay.

This was our third stay at the Calypso. There is nothing to say negatively about the hotel. Many locals and some hotel staff have a better command of German than English because of the number of German guests staying in this area.

Pros: Location, beach.
Cons: Food although plentiful, need more variety.
Location: Not much to do but relax on the beach or go shopping in Morro Jable. A visit to the safari park is fun,get details from your hotel reception.
Disappointed and very upset, Hotel was booked six months ago for a very Special Occasion. On arrival told there was no room for us, we were transferred to the sister hotel on our special day. I had specified when the reservation was booked how this was a Special time, I feel they should have saved a room for us and moved someone else. We were given three different reasons why no room was available, this just made it worst. Had done a lot of research to pick the perfect place to Celebrate, only to be moved. Although we were given a lovely room at the other hotel, it was not where we wanted to be that night.We were left very upset. We will always remember our Special day for all the wrong reasons, when we did get our actual room we had flowers and a fruit basket nothing special, have received this in other hotels as a Welcome gesture.

Pros: It's situation and proximity to the beach is amazing
Cons: The dinner service could be more organised
Location: Is in an excellent location
This is a Lovely modern hotel very close to the beach and facilities of Moro jable and jandia . Food was lovely although the dining room is a bit find a table that is still set for use . Room was excellent and made up every day plenty of things going on in the hotel to do but not in English with a morning news letter but again mainly in another language this was not off putting in the slightest and everyone was very pleasant and my husband and I speak Spanish but the language was not Spanish. All in all a lovely stay would definitely return to this hotel.
