Property under major construction not “renovating”. Room had construction debris on the floor, a nail, and hair in the washroom. We requested for another room which was cleaner but therw was styrofoam all over the couch and beds. Hotel said since we booked through Expedia, we couldn’t cancel. We called Expedia, which then called the hotel and the hotel said they offered us the ability to cancel which was a lie. Avoid this place.

The property is under construction! I had to walk down a makeshift entrance hall made of particle board which was leaking water and buckling from the built up rain. I had to knowck on a window to check in. Construction was so loud and property was unsafe. Asked for a refund and they refused.

Was under complete Construction. I am honestly surprised it was legal to allow anyone to stay inside. I’m not certain how a building in this stage of construction was given certificate of Occupancy by the local municipality. When booking through Expedia, it should absolutely be required to notify the client that the building will be not only under construction, but potentially dangerous. In the future I will make sure not to use a third party such as Expedia and book directly with hotels. I’ve always known it was possible for the hotel not to be as nice as expected, but this was an astounding low. My one singular interaction with the hotel staff when checking in was fine, this is solely to do with the state of the property which other than not existing at all, was a worst case scenario.

I booked not realizing that the property was being renovated. Not only was there trash littered all over the place, the stairwells were blocked for construction and the elevator was the only way to get up to our room. The bed had hair in it and there was dust all over the place; the bathroom sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain. We ended up leaving a day early.
