The sheets in your our room were dirty. They had debris on the top sheet so we switched rooms and only one of the beds didn’t have debris. The toilet also didn’t work so we had to go into the tank to manually flush it.

Property has potential as a boutique hotel but appears unfinished. Room was clean and there was plenty of hot water for a nice long shower. Walking distance to local brewery for drinks and dinner. Courtyard is quite nice and can see it being a bonus space for a group booking. Observed property is pet friendly. Parking is not convenient to rooms overlooking the converted courtyard, no elevators, and ice was by request at the front desk. Conveniently out of ice when a small amount was requested prior to check out. Staff appears to enjoy their smoke breaks and were somewhat less welcoming than anticipated for a hotel trying to position itself as "boutique". Breakfast was mediocre at best although will give some credit for variety of offerings. Probably would have rated half star more had we not already experienced a true boutique property (at a better price) while visiting Silverton, Oregon.

The hotel is always clean and the staff is friendly. I enjoy walking to the river in the mornings to drink my coffee. There aren't many options to stay in Fortuna, but this is my choice every time.

First, the manager Alicia was amazing, they were immediately apologetic and understanding when we decided to not stay a second night due to the condition of our room. They made it very clear that the state of our room was unacceptable by their standards and that the housekeeping staff responsible would be talked to. That was the best part of our experience unfortunately, our rooms sheets were stained, had burn holes and there was clumps of hair on the shower wall. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned throughly.
