Fortuna is quiet and mellow and very close to the Redwoods. A much better choice than larger areas nearby. It's next door to a microbrewery restaurant that we didn't have time to enjoy on this visit but was definitely a plus. The hotel staff was delightful and helpful and had many recommendations for things to see in the area.

Great last minute find. Sometimes Super 8's get a bad rap but I agree with the gentleman in the lobby that morning that this Super 8 exceeded expectations. Clean comfy and a good selection for breakfast. Walkable to a great brewery across the parking lot and close to the river park. My children and I enjoyed our stay. Close to Redwoods and I preferred the location over staying in the larger town of Eureka. We were lucky to stumble upon this location.
