The attendant at the front desk was not helpful at all. He was rude and acted like we were on a military base. Due to two car wrecks we were late arriving. Having tried to call ahead several to let the hotel know why we were late we gave up as no one would pick up. When we asked about food we were told the food service stopped 17 minutes before we arrived. I’ve been to Scotland many times and have never received such poor treatment. At this point I’d prefer sleeping in my car over staying at The Caledonian!

All night I can hear people moving things about on the floor above and shutting doors down the corridor and for over £100 for a single room expected it to be better

The view from the hotel is beautiful over a loch, however, we were disappointed with the condition of the room. The sheets were stained and torn. Pillows and bed not very comfortable. Definitely a budget stay.

The view across the Loch was spectacular and the location was very suited to shopping and visiting various sites relevant to our needs.

Property needs renovation and maintenance. Food sometimes good, sometimes bland. Very friendly staff doing their best. Reasonable value for money. Parking is spacious and safe.

The staff at the front desk were friendly. The hotel needing upgrading. Rooms clean but beds very uncomfortable. The food in the dining room was terrible and seemed like it was all pre packaged and microwaved with no taste or flavour. Drinks needed to be gotten from the bar. They were not served at the table.The bar person this day was very unfriendly. There was no tea or coffee service after dinner. We were told it was shut off but a kind wait staff member got me a coffee from the kitchen.
