"We had the best stay here! The host was incredible. Super responsive, helpful, and gave us amazing recommendations that made our trip even better. The place was very clean and well kept. As a group of girls, we especially loved the long hallway mirror (such a small detail but SO appreciated for getting ready 😂). Everything about our stay was seamless, and the location was perfect. It honestly couldn’t have gone smoother. Highly recommend!"

"We had a one bedroom suite which was big and spacious. We enjoyed having the full kitchen which was furnished with the basics. It is definitely dated, but was clean and comfortable. Except the air vents could use a good cleaning. We loved the balcony even without the ocean view. There are only two elevators which are small and only one ice machine on the lobby level. It was a short walk to the beach and there are a few places to get something to eat along with a yummy ice cream shop nearby for dessert."

"Katrina at the front desk was amazing . This place is such a good concept , and the property is set up well with the foliage , pools , jacuzzi . I loved all of the little paths throughout . But it desperately needs an overhaul . The rooms are not clean Floors , doors , walls, headboard and sheets had stains and needed to be scrubbed . Faucet in the bathroom was loose , and a/c filter was filthy .most things were just stained and/ or dirty . Could be a really beautiful spot if the owners put money into rehabbing everything"

"Perfect location, right across from the beach. The staff overall was good with the exception of check in and when we called for a later check out. They were a little rough around the edges. Our check lady out was very nice. Steve the bartender was great. Pizza spot in the corner was delicious. Overall the hotel is nice, clean, and at a great location. Would stay there again."

"The pictures when booking the hotel were deceiving!! The bar and restaurant were not open for business. The room was disgusting and not cleaned very well. The mattress was lumpy and the room smelled. We had to repeatedly ask for clean towels and it took two days to get them. The key cards kept being faulty and we had to replace them multiple times. We stayed on the fourth floor where we had to travel up to the second floor and walk back all the way through the hotel to a different elevator to then get to the fourth floor. There was also no microwave in the room and the fridge was not working very well! We booked here because it was saving some money- but I would rather have spent a little more for a better experience if I had known what state the hotel was in. The only benefits to booking a room at this hotel: the AC was good and the front desk staff were pleasant to talk to, but were not able to make our room and stay more pleasant. The beach is right across from the hotel; they provided chairs and towels most days!"

"We have been staying at Tranquilo over the past 5–7 years, and we always enjoy our stay and truly love the tranquility of the hotel. This was the first time we’ve experienced any issue during our visits. Unfortunately, the gentleman on duty Sunday evening placed a green parking violation sticker on my car even though our parking pass was clearly visible on the dashboard. That was definitely disappointing and unnecessary. That said, I can honestly say this has been the only issue we’ve ever had here, and overall we have always enjoyed our stays at Tranquilo."

"The room was nice and we had a great view. The amenities unfortunately were misleading from the website. They had two treadmills at the gym but one was broken, they only had 2 bikes for the entire resort of 1000+ people (which were unavailable every time we asked to use them), the infinity pool was essentially unusable due to the dozens of children everywhere and the excruciatingly loud music from the DJ. The umbrellas were $38 extra even though the website says umbrellas are an amenity. I had to ask several times for more coffee pods and it was difficult to get any help from any of the staff or answer to questions. The positives were that the beach was right there and there was a waitress that came around with drinks. 20% gratuity is added to everything - from the drinks at the bar to the umbrellas. The food was subpar, and there’s no other restaurants except if you walk a mile, which we did and that was great. Definitely a good place for kids and families but not for couples."
