Comfortable place to relax
Posted 25 Jun 2020 on HotelsFirst time in Font Romeu and this was a lovely place to relax. Ideally placed in the centre of the town it was easy to walk to bars and restaurants. Not everything was open due to it being between the seasons and with Covid 19 on top of that.

The hotel could not be better situated in the town. The room was a very small double but quiet. We only watched the news on the television and the remote control was not working fully, so I used the control at the side of the TV. Breakfast was fine and we didn't try the restaurant in the evening. My wife likes the sauna and open-air Jacuzzi looking over the valley and mountains. Remember to book a parking place in the hotel as spaces are limited; we forgot and parked in the public multi-storey park opposite the entrance to the main gondola lift. It is Euros 4.50 per night.

We had a Fantastic stay for 2 nights in this hotel. The beds were very comfortable. Service was exceptional. First time in Font Romeu where both my children were taught how to ski and snowboard. Not so easy for a couple of fair-weather California kids!!
The additional reasonable cost for breakfast was well worth it. The spa on the 6th floor terrace was such a nice treat in the midst of winter sitting in a hot spa watching snow fall. FANTASTIC!

Staff was very friendly, our stay was pleasant. Indoor pool and sauna were really nice.

Posted 17 May 2017 on HotelsIt was just a convenient place to stop. Out of season so only 2 local restaurants. Nothing other than breakfast on site.
Had to upgrade the room as they provide a shoe box for Hotel.com clients!!
It is a very simple, motel quality place. Fine for the $ but no frills!
Breakfast was sad! Especially for the cost!

Lovely hotel with a nice relaxation suite
Posted 28 Mar 2016 on HotelsWe were a family of 2 adults and 1 child, we had a lovely rooms quite large, the Staff were friendly and very helpful, the relaxation area is a great benefit after a days skiing lovely Jacuzzi Sauna room and a small pool to relax in, the hotel is situated in the centre of the town with easy access to restaurants and bars, lovely clean service every day. the WiFi was excellent with a very good streaming bandwidth even for movies, Would definitely come back to this hotel again.

Overall great mountain hotel

Pros: clean, affordable, convenient
Cons: lack of amenities, small rooms
Location: situated in the small town of Font Romeu which incidentally has one of the best french restaurants I have ever eaten at (Table de Saveurs)
I have stayed at this hotel several times, both in summer, fall and winter, and every time it is a pleasant and affordable option when I am doing something in the Pyrenees area - such as the great hiking, proximity to Andorra, snowsports, etc. The hotel is always clean and has a nice view from the roof, morning breakfast is nice. Negatives are that the hotel has very limited amenities like no room service, there may be a restaurant but I am not sure when it's open as I have never seen it functioning, there is no bar and not much of a lobby to speak of. In other words if you are looking for a hotel with amenities this may not be it. However for a quick and convenient stopover during mountain road trips I recommend it.
