A cozy resort with a lovely small beach area directly in front of the hotel, with the longer beach area easily accessible too. Hotel staff were all genuine, very friendly and helpful. Rooms all very big with balconies, sofa and seat in room and huge bathroom with walk in wardrobe area. Restaurant was nice with enough food choices but not huge ranges (with corresponding huge waste usually!) like other bigger resorts might have. Drinks and food not included in your plan were close to London prices. The hotel offered excellent activities such as snorkelling/glass bottom boat trip to nearby reef, pedalos and kayaking, access to sauna and steam rooms all at no extra price. Overall a really lovely place to stay!

Don’t waste your time.

Construction right out the window. Terrible service. They say the meal is included and neglect to mention water is charged until it’s time to leave and you’re left with a bill. Food was not edible. Didn’t book any transportation as requested. The beach was dirty and disgusting. There’s plenty of other places that are 10x better and half the price.

Dear Mrs Healy,Greetings from Sands Suites Resort & Spa.We had the pleasure of welcoming you last Saturday 24th February 2024 for one night and you were warmly welcomed by the team including the Resident Manager and the Duty Manager. You were allocated a Superior Suite 309 which is sea facing and overlooking a beautifully manicured garden area. We admit being surprised by your feedback concerning the service which you report being terrible and the food not edible. The Resort has 20 years of expertise with internationally renowned service standard and excellent food quality. We fail to understand that you judge that same service level and food quality based on a one night stay. Your feedback with lack of details is not grounded, subjective and thus rejected. Your reported observation about the beach being disgusting is again unfounded and irrational. We have a prime location and are privileged to be on one of the beast beaches of Mauritius with a view on Le Morne mountain, recognised as a World Heritage by UNESCO.Whilst we are qualified hoteliers with a core value being our undivided attention to our guests' feedback as we always aim at improving further, we admit that your comment leaves us speechless. At no point in time during your very short stay with us, have you shared that you were unhappy about any experience whatsoever. And we have not failed to meet with you during your stay caring about your comfort. Our Golden Key Concierge as well as our Manager on Duty met with you on your departure day and you never mentioned your disappointment as described above. We take note of your biased commentary that there are other better places to stay. We are glad to share that we have a high percentage of loyal customers since 20 years. Last but not least, ,you mentioned a construction next door; which is correct. But you have not mentioned that the construction was not operational when you checked in on Saturday and it was closed on Sunday. That construction did not affect your stay as there was no noise at all. So, your feedback is not valid. We wish you a happy, peaceful and relaxing end of stay in Mauritius. The Management

We were wowed the moment we arrived at the hotel, the warmth of the hotel team’s welcome, swift and smooth check-in, immediate decor and view of the hotel, and not too mention the help we received unpacking a very messy car… The festive schedule was packed with delights, activities and celebrations. Arriving in Christmas day, we had an extra lovely buffet dinner. Though we had planned to travel during our stay, but decided that we were content with relaxing in the lovely surroundings of the hotel and the range of activities on offer. The hotel staff were the real star, very professional, friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel at home. Our stay at Sands was part of our honeymoon in Mauritius- thank you to the team for making it extra special for us.

We had a lovely stay. Staff were friendly. Beautiful views of Le Morne. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. The lovely Brenda is always helpful and cheery :)

Great hotel, not too big so felt quite intimate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location at the end was best on the strip overlooking Tamarin. Beautiful views from the infinity pool. Food good maybe a little more spice needed in some dishes

Great stay at Sands Suites

Superior Room are big and very nice. Hotel cleanliness is top. Breakfast is very good with a lot of choice. Evening buffet could be better though decent enough. Hotel has plenty of indoor/outdoor activities. Overall a great experience.
