neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night. always locals trying to help you (for a fee) find your accommodations. otherwise, a great riad

We were at Karawan Riad to celebrate a 50th birthday. Got there after a hectic 3 days in Sahara Desert. The Riad was truly our oasis. Our daughters were both exhausted from 3 days of driving. The staff at the Riad gave them unparalleled attention and took incredibly good care of them - even making them a lentil soup and rice. From the morning breakfast to booking us a guide to making reservations for us and accommodating our million requests - they did all with a smile. They even drove my brother to the pharmacy to pick up medicines.
We took a cooking class at the Riad as well as the hamam and massages and it all made our trip special
They even baked a cake for my sisters 50th birthday and set up a nice dinner for us
The grounds are absolutely spectacular and the staff kind, considerate and caring. I have never stayed at a place and felt so royally treated. If we ever have a chance, we would go back to Karawan Riad

Excellent Riad in Fes medina
Posted 10 Aug 2023 on Hotels5/5. Would highly recommend this Riad, the building is stunning and the rooms are finished to a very high standard, super comfy beds and our room had a private garden. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, even at 1am helping us with airport arrangements. Each morning we were given a brilliant local breakfast and had the choice of eating on the rooftop. The Riad is a short walk to the start of the medina but 15 minutes to the main part of the medina, this can be a little far at night but it was nice to not be in the centre of everything for the entire trip. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Posted 26 Jul 2023 on HotelsThis property is stunning! I can not say enough. Everything is top notch! Spa, breakfast, rooms, staff and the decor is gorgeous!!! Accustomed to luxury travel and this rated up there with luxury chains such as The Four Seasons!
