We loved the hotel. The owner and her staff were superb - nothing was too much trouble. The amenities were excellent, especially the swimming pool nestled within the citrus grove. So lovely and peaceful! You do need a car though as the nearest town of Sallevetri is about 10 minutes away, the airports of Brindisi and Bari about 50 minutes away. The hotel is perfectly positioned for some amazing sites to visit. A must, is the ruined town of Egnazia along the coast, as well as Ostuni, Alberobello (to visit the Trulli), Polignano a mare and Locorotundo all beautiful. Super fish restaurants in Salevetri and lovely to eat al fresco overlooking the port.A great place to relax after some sightseeing. We would thoroughly recommend Lama di Coccaro.

Maria is a wonderful hostess. We stayed for two nights. Breakfast is fantastic and the quiet country atmosphere is wonderful yet the beach and dining in savelletri are only a few minutes away. We used the pool and bar facilities. The Maseria has been recently renovated. Happy to be your guests Maria

Hidden gen among lemon trees and pieces of art

Posted 31 Jul 2017
I have booked Masseria Lama di Coccaro through this website as it looked very nice, beautifully furnished... with strong character. I must stay that once we arrived it was much better than expectations! Perfectly located few minutes driving from the see, the venue is incredible: full of history, nature and pieces of arts all around the property. Owner (Marialuce) and staff are super welcoming and kind; they have made us feeling home from the first moment. Breakfast is very good with a mix of traditional and exotic taste, all served with very stylish table decoration. Luckily they don't have serve food outside breakfast (no lunch/dinner) otherwise we would have left the Masseria all days... :) Definitely recommended.

A truly unique and wonderful place to stay.

Pros: Everything! It was so different, so unique, reflecting Maria Luce's artistic talents.
Cons: It was tricky to find, even with a SatNav. There are signs but they weren't always easy to spot in the dark. Give Maria Luce a call.
Location: Head for the sea for food, there are many places along the coast. Fasano isn't far either. We loved Ostuni, Martina Franca & Polignano a Mare too.
Maria Luce and her husband have opened up their home to guests who can't help but be impressed with the luxury and style evident everywhere. From the moment you arrive you can tell you're somewhere very special. Her passion for providing care and attention to detail is wonderful. She wants only to give the best possible experience and does so unobtrusively and with charm. Breakfast is a marvelous treat and something we looked forward to every day. The attention to detail means it just can't be faulted. Her staff were attentive and to be highly commended. The pool was perfect on a hot August day, surrounded by lemon trees. The different levels provided lovely views of the sea in the distance and the surrounding countryside. The gardens and terraces offered shade and cooling breezes. Our room was spacious and airy and so unique. A comfortable retreat after a day's sightseeing.
